Synopsis
A director sets out on a journey across the Brazilian Northeast, from Tremedal, in Bahia, to Enseada Grande, in Maranhão, in search of traces that might help reconstruct the fragmented memories of her family origins. Along the way, the footage brings to light erased histories of a historically marginalised people, while building new portraits of her own identity.

Rebecca Moreno
Rebecca Moreno (1995), born in São Luís do Maranhão and raised in Tremedal, Bahia, is a director, screenwriter and cultural and audiovisual producer. She holds a degree in Film and Audiovisual from Centro Universitário UNA, in Belo Horizonte. Her debut film, Lençol Branco, screened at festivals including Tiradentes, Curta Cinema, Goiânia Mostra Curtas, FEST – New Directors New Films and Caminhos do Cinema Português, among others. She holds a master's in Multimedia Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Her work explores memories, identities and marginalised voices through a practice of resistance and experimentation. She currently lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal.
